Dear Community Supporter:
We are so excited to let you know about our organization! The Women of Virtue Empowerment Network (WOVEN) has been created to serve as a support center for women of the Imperial Valley. As our mission statement infers, we are in existence to provide a motivational center which allows women to unite for the purpose of support and encouragement through all of life’s circumstances. Our goal is to inspire a woman’s best by nurturing her body, mind, heart, and soul.
Our center will hold small group sessions for women on topics such as grief, depression, parenting, conflict resolution, health & nutrition, marriage, and menopause. Our sessions will be led by trained small group facilitators and will provide an environment of compassion and confidentiality. We also plan to offer assistance to women in such areas as resume writing, job applications, financial aid and college applications, legal paperwork, resources for mothers of special-needs children, and resources for domestic violence. In addition, individual sessions will be available by appointment. All services of WOVEN will be available to women at no charge, and no woman will be discriminated upon due to race, religion, or income.
Our Transition Home will assist those women who are returning to society from rehabilitation, and need accountability and guidance through the journey. We will provide a safe home for them to re-adapt to their community, while guiding them in the areas of job search, parenting, budgeting, and especially….faith. Our Christian Living Home will provide Christian single ladies who might be struggling to make it on their own a place to live together, helping each other, and planning their budget so that they can be successful in the future. In both homes, first and foremost, the women will be taught to put God’s will above all else.
It is our hope that you will be as excited about this organization as we are! We encourage you to take this opportunity to be a valuable part of improving the lives of women in our communities. For an annual membership fee of $50 per individual or $100 per business, you can be a sponsor of this very worthy and much needed center, and these two women’s homes. Your membership will also include montly newsletters and an invitation of our annual fundraising event. It is our hope to establish a membership roster of at least 250 members. We need your help to make this possible. Without our members, WOVEN will not be a possibility. We will exist solely on the support of our members, our fundraisers, and any grants we receive. As a member of WOVEN, you are also encouraged to use our center at any time for your own needs. We will also have our center available to non-profit organizations for meetings, etc at no cost. There will be a minimal rental cost for profit organizations to utilize our facility.
Please note that our TAX ID number is 27-1555408. We thank you so much for your support of WOVEN and the women of Imperial Valley.
Sincerely,
WOVEN Board of Directors
